With its eight hectares, Ferrière is the Medoc's smallest Cru Classé. Château Ferrière is a grand cru which was apparently sleeping the sleep of Sleeping Beauty for several decades.Third Grand Cru Classé, this wine has been recognised as a high quality product well worthy of its classification. This small 8 hectare vineyard was for a long time in the shade of the great names of Margaux. It was successively considered as the second wine of Prieuré Lichine and Lascombes. The owners of Chasse-Spleen, who were sad to see this exceptional land underestimated, bought the property in 1988. The potential was there, and the new team's investment and competence did the rest.
