The property in brief

The Geantet-Pansiot vineyard was founded in 1954 when Edmond Geantet married Bernadette Pansiot. The newlyweds settled in Gevrey and started to exploit their 7-acre vineyard spread on both Gevrey-Chambertin and Bourgogne designations. Little by little, Edmond bought other vines in order to widen his vineyard. Then his son Vincent naturally joined the business in 1977. Their vineyard was of 17 acres then. Mutual trust between father and son ensured a quick optimization of the production and enabled Edmond and Vincent to trade new ideas and methods successfully. In 2006, Vincent’s son, Fabien, joined the family business as well, making of natural transmission a clear component of their vineyard. Technical evolution brought new material and thus, need of expansion. This family vineyard - now run by Vincent Geantet and his son Fabien gradually gained acres : 10 acres of Gevrey-Chambertin in 91, an acre of Chambolle Musigny First Growth in 94, and a plot of Gevrey in 1999, for a total of 32 acres today.
