Classification rank: Cru bourgeois supérieur. Bernard Lartigue, president of the Listrac-Médoc appellation until 2007, is a perfectionist architect who made the ascendancy of Mayne Lalande. More than 20 years after the first vintage - 1982, a beauty yet -, he still has a very high reputation, thanks to a lot of forward and succulent vintages. Château Mayne Lalande is the essence of the Bordeaux style, with elegance, balance and distinction. It is never one of the most robust but it is one of the finest Crus Bourgeois.
